Clegg Food Projects worked with Greggs plc to relocate their existing bakery in Manchester to a brand new facility on a nearby brown field site. This was the tenth project which Clegg have delivered for Greggs, managing the process from initial concept through detailed design, planning approval into construction and supporting transfer of bakery production from their old site.
The bakery incorporates a wide range of production and storage environments to deal with the variety of products manufactured and distributed to Greggs’ retail outlets around the North West.
In addition, an extensive range of offices and amenities were created to support the teams of people involved in Greggs’ operation.
The bakery was completed in less than 12 months, on time to meet Greggs’ plans to transfer staff and production whilst maintaining supplies to their shops throughout.
