Belgian manufacturer Alpro awarded Clegg their first UK-based project - a facility to produce soya milk comprising 6500 sq m of production and storage areas, together with 800 sq m of offices.
A separate building was constructed to house the extensive services equipment including refrigeration, steam boilers, hot and cold water, compressed air and cleaning chemicals.
The services were distributed to the main building via a services bridge which spanned the main access road. The highly specialised manufacturing equipment required high hygiene finishes and extensive service installations. The project was successfully completed within 38 weeks to a Guaranteed Maximum Price.
