Specialists in the design and construction of food manufacturing facilities - Clegg Food Projects have a won a multi-million pound contract to deliver a cutting edge factory for leading bakery retailer Greggs.

Nationally-renowned Clegg Food Projects, which provides turnkey food factory construction solutions for major food operations all over the UK, has started on the design and construction of the new 80,000 sq ft Greggs bakery in Longbenton, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, which will replace existing premises.

The project is the latest in a long line of large-scale projects that Clegg has carried out for Greggs.

Clegg Food Projects has provided a fully integrated design and construction service to assist Greggs in finding the best solutions to create a cutting edge factory able to cope with the bakery’s ambitious growth; the new facility has been specifically designed by Clegg to meet the needs of Greggs’ retail offering, to further increase its efficiency, product quality and innovation.
