The healthcare sector is proving a growing market for Clegg Construction, which has completed over £2m worth of projects in the Calderdale area, including a new £1.6m community health centre for specialist healthcare developer MedicX.

 The development of MedicX’s new Boulevard Health Centre on Savile Park Road, Halifax, required the complete refurbishment and extension of a former grade II listed school to form a new medical centre and pharmacy over two floors.

 In addition, Clegg has undertaken its third project for Calderdale Royal Hospital, which is currently celebrating its tenth anniversary and success as one of the country’s first PFI hospitals.

 This latest contract involved the refurbishment and alteration of the hospital’s Angioplasty Unit.  It follows completion of a new car park and specialist mental health unit for the hospital in contracts totalling over £600,000.
